Paros

Today we woke up, swapped hotels (to more budget friendly accommodations), did some quick laundry in the sink, and set out for a day of beach walking. We made it around to the northernmost point of Paros visible from the port, and found a quiet stretch of secluded beach that we threw our beach mats down on and proceeded to nap away the afternoon. It is such a nice change to have nothing to do other than lie around, read a book, and stare at the ocean. After a few hours of sunbathing, we hiked back towards the hotel to clean up, and ultimately pick up a few groceries to fill up our mini fridge and some Nescafe instant so we could make coffee on our hot plate.

Cleaned up and tired in that way that only sitting in the sun for many hours can make you, we headed out to dinner at the Happy Cow restaurant, and had a great meal of Chicken pasta with cream sauce and sun dried tomatoes, and a gorgonzola and mushroom cream pasta. It was great, and a nice break from grilled meats and feta for the evening.

Tomorrow it’s time to explore this island just a little bit more….
