Last Day in Paros

This morning we woke to have some yogurt and muesli, orange juice, and coffee for breakfast on the terrace. We decided that more scooter exploration was called for, and headed out to go to the northern most beaches and peninsulas that we missed before.

We began by tracing the coast to a rocky shore near Naoussa where we stopped to have a picnic of blue cheese, apples, and olives while we watched people water skiing (and some quite poorly) out of a nearby inlet. We continued up the coast to a gorgeous beach Santa Maria, and then to a beautiful little coastal town called Pisso Livadi, where we stopped to have a coffee and smoothie (and quite the smoothie it was!) before we continued on to Peunta to watch the ferries arrive from Anti Paros iIsland

We returned the scooter to the rental folks, and had a rousing Greenglish (not sure if that is how you would combine Greek and English,…but you get the idea) conversation with the rental guy about US politics, The Democrats, and why a woman should never be president. Let me just say, NOW will not be holding their next convention anywhere in Greece.

With more time to kill before an acceptable dinner at 9ish, we stop for an evening beverage at Pebbles Café and watch the sun set over the Aegean, and soak up the local and tourist color all around before we stopped into the Asian Cafe to have some noodles and curry - oh so good.
