On the move

Well its been a few days of continuous travel: bus from Essaouira to
Marrakesh-plane from Marrakesh to Madrid... and today a train from
Madrid to Valencia where we have an apartment on the Playa de la
Malvarrosa for the weekend. T and I are really looking forward to our
stay. We need a place to sit back and recharge our batteries.

Our two weeks in Morocco were incrediable. I've been around the block
a few times, but I have never experienced something so foriegn. Only
35 minutes from the coast of Spain, Morocco strikes with the intensity
of a loud bell. You could increase or decrease your distance from it,
but it was impossible to escape its ring.

The French in Moroc found it easier negotiate the cities through
language, decades of cultural colonial injections, and the stronger
Euro. For us, it was a double obstacle, where the only place to get
refuge from one strange beast was to jump in the arms of another (more
gay one).

So in that foriegn land of hooded robes, agressive manners, and
cospicuous character, you find terrific comforts in the small
treasures it had to offer: a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, a
manicured garden full of cactus and roses, or the infrequent free
curteousy of some pointing you in the right direction. In Fez, our
only escape was the heavenly sanctuary of DJ Lui Mac's Riad.

That is all for now, the powerful iPhone needs a recharge.

Sounds like the iChio needs a recharge. Thanks for calling, nice to hear your voice, as tired as it was. Probably from eating pigeon and camel etc. What is your name? and what have you done with my eldest? LOVE, M&D
